Design Review Guidelines Update

With the Hazardous Fuel Reduction (HFR) project now under way in Valley Ranch it has become clear that the current Design Review Guidelines (DRG) need to be updated to reflect this new Firewise awareness in our community.

The major change is to section 7. which covers lot maintenance. The HFR project goes all the way out to the property line regardless if there is a home on the property or not. Our current guideline requires lots without homes to be kept in “their pristine natural state” which increases the fire risk to the entire community. We feel all lots should follow current Firewise guidelines.

We are also suggesting increasing the size of trees you can remove without ARC approval from 6” to 14”.
